Juanes y Nelly Furtado - Fotografía

Fotografía is a song performed by Juanes (Juan Esteban Aristizábal) and Nelly Furtado for Juanes' 2nd album, Un Día Normal. Although Juanes music genre is Latin Rock, I think this song is not a rock song at all. I'm really love this song. Both Juanes and Nelly Furtado sang this song well. The song fit them so much.

The song gave each of them an award for best duet and Juanes one for best songwriter at the Latin Music awards. (LoMasTv)

Yup, they are deserved it..
LoMasTv use the video clip as free demo of their service. You can learn and improve your spanish there. They gave rating for difficulities of each video, and the song, Fotografía, is the easiest. Try it :D

I was looking for the lyrics then I made the karaoke subtitle for the video clip, so I can sing the song while watching the video.. I've uploaded the video subbed with karaoke subtitle to youtube, but due to the copyright from UMG (Universal Music) the embedding option is disabled. That's not problem, just click here to watch the Juanes' Fotografia with karaoke subtitle on youtube.

Then, I got the english translation from La Mamita's Blog, click the link to see the translation. Uhm, after read the translation I guess this song a theme song for Long Distance Relationship.. They see each other only "through" the photograph. Well, technology nowadays allows us to communicate although we parted thousand miles..

From this song, I got a message : "Keep the faithfullness...". It's just my thought.. Keep the faithfullness..

Mobile Lifes

Nowadays, we can do anything (almost) through our mobile phone. For example, this blog post. I want to write more, but my mobile browser supports 450 characters only.

OK, now is on my laptop..
Thanks to the technology development. It becomes better and better. As we know technology was created to help humans. And now, communication technology grows fast. We as technology user can do alomost everything in everywhere.

Just a simple example, mobile phone. Now, we can do many things through the mobile phone. Call service, text messages are classic service, now welcome to internet. By using GPRS and now with 3G and HSDPA availability, we can do browsing, instant messaging, and always connected to many social networking.

Ah, just remember when earthquake was happened last month in Bandung, communication network was experiencing problem..So, we couldn't call or text our family and friends..but fortunately (don't know why..) the internet connection is still ON, so almost people communicate with their family through facebook. Erveryone's status at that time was about the earthquake.

Hope, the technology can grow and grow...

What Google Thinks I Need

Another post to wasting time.
Simple..Just type on google your name follows with "needs".
Matilda needs

  • Matilda needs a home with a person who can pick her up if need be.

  • Matilda needs all the help she can get.

  • Matilda - Needs a wash. :)

  • Matilda needs all the help she can get.

  • Matilda needs a little amber ballast to help her
  • I'll be home for Christmas

    I'll be home for Christmas!

    My Mom has an old cassette tape, Christmas songs. The album title is "I'll be home for Christmas".
    I was touched when saw the picture on the cover. The picture shown a table, on the table there was radio, Bible, photo of a young man in army suite, and a newspaper with the headline about war.

    I imagined that it was a mother or father who waited their son to home at Christmas, have a warm family time, tell and hear story. They must had plan many things to do on the Christmas time. But when read the newspaper, there was a war and their son would get in the war, they would be afraid or like losing hope.

    I think, that is the feeling of all parents who far from their children. They wait for the holiday so they can be together..

    On Time or In Time

    Just read friend's status at her facebook. She asked about the usage of "on time" term.
    It is used for exactly at the time or before the time.
    As I had studied English Idioms, I know that "On time" is for exactly at the time, then "In time" is for before the time. I commented the status and wrote what I know.

    Need some reference, so I googled it. I got the "on time" meaning, it means not to be late; "in time" means before it is too late.
    Now, I'm bit confused..
    Is
    before it is too late
    have same meaning with
    before the time

    Well, I need some input here, please help me :D

    Sun Ho - Fancy Free

    I have heard about Sun Ho, but don't know much about her. She is a singer from Singapore. Her new MV is Fancy Free launched yesterday night. Beside the MV launching, the management held a Live Video Chat on Facebook. My friends had told me about the Live Video Chat but I missed it :((. So, I tried to watch the recorded Video Chat on ustream, but the connection was really poor (should use better internet provider) so I just watched till the first question from Uganda.

    Oh yeah, that was the first time I see Sun. I was surprised, because she is really different from what I imagined. On the video, she mentioned about Indonesia :D. She said she loves Indonesian Kecap Manis (Sweet Soy Sauce) and also said that she loves Indonesia..Nice :D

    First question on the Video Chat was from Uganda.. The fan from Uganda asked her about the Fancy Free, what does Sun feel about that song because the song was really cool. Sun said she really loves the song because the song is like her own personality..

    OK, watch the Video Clip here

    You can find the complete information about Sun Ho on her website here.

    When I checked my other blog, I got a message there. Someone asked me how to add the reaction box below the blog post (see below my post to see the boxes :D). Well, I got the same question..I saw two blogs that add the reaction box. I wanted to add it to my blog too. But, I didn't ask anyone even Mr. Google :P

    One day, I wanted to configure my widgets then I just clicked the edit button for the Blog Post..then found this:

    So, if you want to add the reaction box below your post..just choose it from your blog post editor.

    Enjoying the blogging thing :P

    Morse Code

    When played one of the Internet riddles, I got some code. It's dots and strips.. Just a rambling, I said..ah Morse code (It's truly rambling, because I didn't know the Morse Code). But, my brother took it seriously, and came up with the dictionary then opened the page with the Morse Code..
    Hehehe, the code was solved..Ooo, that was really Morse Code :D

    So, I guess to play those Internet riddles, I have to know how to convert number from different base and of course how to read Morse Code (... and many things upward).

    Here's the chart of the Morse code letters and numerals (taken from wikipedia)

    More information about the Morse Code can be found at wikipedia.

    Decimal, Hexadecimal Manual Converter

    Got this problem when I played a riddle..The clue was in decimal, should be converted to hexadecimal. Actually, it's simple, just do googling and you'll get the converter, problem solved. But, when I played the riddle I was using my cellphone with operamini. So, I couldn't use the converter :(. Furthermore, the calculator in my cellphone just a basic calculator not the scientific version...

    I didn't want to wait till get home then do googling using laptop or using the calculator, so I tried to get the manual calculation. I've been taught about the base in my 2nd year of Junior High School, so I believed I could found out the conversion secret :)

    First, I made this table..
    DECIMAL0123456789101112131415
    HEX0123456789ABCDEF
    then, tried to convert easy dec number to hex number hope will get the "formula".
    Recalling the memory from 10 years ago......
    The conversion using a tree factor (Well, in Bahasa Indonesia is Pohon Faktor, just guessing the english term is tree factor :P)

    Finalllllyyy...
    I got it.. I got it..

    Example:
    Convert this decimal number to hexadecimal
    703710
    1. 703710 :16 = 43981,875 --> 43981 + (0.875) --> 0.875 x 16 = 14
    2. 43981:16 = 2748,8125 --> 2748 + (0.8125) --> 0.8125 x 16 = 13
    3. 2748:16 = 171,75 --> 171 + (0.75) --> 0.75 x 16 = 12
    4. 171:16 = 10,6875 --> 10 + (0.6875) --> 0.6875 x 16 = 11
    5. 10 --> the calculation ends here because it is smaller than 16.
    So...what is the hexadecimal number from (703710)dec??
    see the bold number..arrange it from the bottom, so it becomes:
    10 11 12 13 14
    change it to hexadecimal form
    1011121314
    ABCDE

    Yup.. (703710)dec = (ABCDE)hex

    Now..how to convert hex number to dec number?
    just the similar ways..

    Example:
    Convert the (ABCDE)hex to decimal
    1. There is 5 digit hex number --> n = 5
    2. (A)hex = (10)dec --> 10 x 16^4 = 655360 (4 = n-1)
    3. (B)hex = (11)dec --> 11 x 16^3 = 45056 (3 = n-2)
    4. (C)hex = (12)dec --> 12 x 16^2 = 3072 (2 = n-3)
    5. (D)hex = (13)dec --> 13 x 16^1 = 208 (1 = n-4)
    6. (E)hex = (14)dec -->14 x 16^0 = 14 (0 = n-5)
    Sum the bold numbers:
    655360 + 45056 + 3072 + 208 + 14 = 703710

    Yes..it's not a simple way, but It's fun to know how, right?

    When did some blog walking, I was visiting an Indian's blog, Amit Jain's blog. On his blog, I found something interesting..the title is about puzzlehacker. Really want to know what the puzzlehacker is, so I clicked the post.

    Well, the post contains questions and answers but I din't too understand, so I clicked the puzzlehacker web. OK..I arrived. Uhm, it is a game..but what kind of game? So I clicked ENTER.
    I started to understand this game.. Each page contains a question or clue to reach the next page (next level).. Wow, kinda intersting. I told to my friends about this game. Some told me that this is not a new game, there's many on internet. But, many of them tried to play the puzzle :P. Then my friend told me, there's one in Indonesia version, it is MatiBeku. Biodegradable Golf Balls

    Yesterday, I watched The Proposal (played by Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds). Well, I love it, really entertaining. Almost all the movie scenes were set on Sitka, Alaska, Andrew Paxton's hometown. Surprisingly, Andrew Paxton is from rich family. Even, they live in a private island..

    There's one interesting scene when Andrew's father, Joe Paxton playing golf. He was hitting the ball onto the hole that was on a small "island" surrounded by the sea (like the picture below). He said, he was using water soluble golf balls.

    Water soluble golf balls??? I thought it was a fiction...but, when I did googling, I found that is a fact.

    I opened the first result from google, Eco Golf Balls web. I found this statement:
    The Eco Golf Ball is non-toxic, water soluble and 100% biodegradable.

    The Water-Soluble polymer used to make up the Eco Golf Ball is verified by microorganism testing to be non-toxic and does not restrain from the growth of microorganism and can be degraded totally. The Eco Golf Ball has no bad effects on the environment. Once the ball is desolved in water, specific microorganism will cause it turn into carbon dioxide and water.

    The New Eco Golf Ball however is safe to hit into the sea because it desolves quickly and leaves no toxins in the water. It is even safe for a fish to eat. So go ahead and watch your tee shot splash down into the sea.

    The degradation process shown below:

    I like this..great idea..

    Malam Biru

    One day when reading my facebook's homepage, there was 3 video links posted by my friend. He commented the all three by "Gilllllllaaaaaaaaaa", "Sadisssssssssssssssss". Those comments made me so courious what kind of videos were that.

    So, I clicked the play button on one video. The opening scene showed an unpopular man with a guitar sang unpopular song. His name is Sandhy Sondoro, the song was Malam Biru and he come from INDONESIA. Wow...I was so surprised, that was someone that I didn't know but he was so awesome. For a while, I realized his voice like Ahmad Dhani's (but I prefer this unpopular man because his simple but great performance).

    After I did some googling, I got information about him and the performance. The performance was on International Contest of Young Pop Singers NEW WAVE 2009 at Jurmala, Latvia. The great thing is he won the contest....WOW. The information can be found here (in Bahasa Indonesia). Salute for Sandhy Sondoro.

    This is the song lyric for Malam Biru (composed by Sandhy Sondoro himself)
    Suatu malam yang biru tanpa dirimu
    berjuta-juta rinduku padamu
    sendiripun ku harus nikmati
    nyanyian sang rembulan

    Engkau yang seharusnya di sisiku
    Engkau yang s'lalu ada di khayalku
    Semoga kau mendengar lagu ini
    Yang kucipta untukmu

    Chorus:
    Oo, kasihku..
    Ini..ini..laguku..
    Hanya untuk dirimu
    Tanda cintaku padamu oo sayang..

    The english translation for Malam Biru:
    On a blue night without you
    millions of my eagerness to you
    I have to enjoy alone
    the song from the moon

    You are that supposed to be my side
    You are that always on my dream
    I wish you hear this song
    that I composed for you

    Chorus:
    Oo, my love..
    this..this..is my song,
    just for you
    as my love proof to you

    Flowerpot

    Flowerpot is one of my favorite song..
    This song is one of 1st shop of coffee prince OST (sang by Loveholic), and used on We Got Married variety show as Alex-Shinae's theme song (sang by Alex Chu).
    This song also available on Alex's first solo album, My Vintage Romance.

    Well, it's like a song for broken heart people or who experience impossible love.

    The chorus of the song is:
    I want to become a flowerpot at your small window
    even if I won’t be able to say anything
    from time to time, I’ll receive your smiles and touch
    and I could watch your sleeping face endlessly

    (full lyric is available here)

    Yup...that's the best state in experiencing impossible love.

    I hope never ever again experiencing impossible love.
